Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors survey reveals negative effect of wind farms on property prices
- The RICS has published a survey detailing the 'Impact of wind farms on the value of residential property and agricultural land', with some worrying statistics. Click here to read survey.

The survey (dated Sept 2004) indicated that of the RICS members questioned:

60% suggested that wind farms decrease the value of residential properties where the development is within view.

67% indicated that the negative impact on the property prices starts when a planning application to erect a wind farm is made.

These revelations where, up until recently, dismissed by the wind industry as 'a myth'. How long before the other so called 'myths', such as noise and health problems are also proven to be true.
