SCDC
commissioned an independent landscape consultant, Chris Blandford
Associates, to review the development proposals from Your Energy
and reach conclusions on the suitability of the wind farm scheme
in this locality. As can be seen they concluded that Your Energy's
Environmental Statement underestimated both the quality/value
of the existing landscape and the impacts of the scheme on the
landscape. They stated that the proposal could be refused on
landscape grounds. This supported the opinion of the SCDC Landscape
Officer who also recommended refusal.

| "Public
inquiry rejects Kinross wind farm" - Article from "The Courier"
newspaper. One of the major reasons quoted for the planning
refusal is the fear that the turbines would be a distraction
to drivers and, probably, lead to an increase in accidents on
a road that already experiences a high frequency of road traffic
accidents. "Public inquiry rejects Kinross wind farm" DRAFT
