SCDC commissioned an independent landscape consultant, Chris Blandford Associates, to review the development proposals from Your Energy and reach conclusions on the suitability of the wind farm scheme in this locality. As can be seen they concluded that Your Energy's Environmental Statement underestimated both the quality/value of the existing landscape and the impacts of the scheme on the landscape. They stated that the proposal could be refused on landscape grounds. This supported the opinion of the SCDC Landscape Officer who also recommended refusal.
